Sr Network Engineer

ob Summary/Objective:

The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining, and troubleshooting the companys network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves configuring network hardware and software, monitoring network performance, and implementing security measures to protect the organizations data and resources.

Qualifications: BE/MCA

Skills:

• Hand-on Exeprience on setting-up Physical Network Hardware
• Knowlegde on following subjects :
  • Network Components-Cisco Routers, ISR Routers,Cisco/Juniper Layer 3/2 Switches
  • Network Security: Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewall, ISE (end point security), ASA Firewall or other
  • GRE, IP-SEC, Network Address Translation (NAT), Access control lists (ACL)
  • IP Addressing Schemes, Sub-netting and VLSM
  • Switching protocols like STP, RSTP, VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, VTP etc.
  • Cisco ASR IOS, IOS XE upload upgrade.
  • Wireless Network Access Point: Cisco Wireless,
  • Monitoring Tools: Solarwind/others
• Knowledge of Project Management Documentation Artifacts for SDLC Change Management
• Good Document writing Skill on Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Preparation

Certifications:

• CCNP route, CCNA
• Any cloud platform certication (Nice to have)

Experience: Relevant 3-5 Years

Personal attributes:

• Good Communication skills specially written, Excel and PowerPoint Preparation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Addresses customer inquiries or issues promptly professionally.

Work Environment: 5 Day in-office working. Mixed Posting Faridabad Greater Noida, May have to travel Chennai

Network Management Tasks:

• Configuring Network for optimal performance and security
• Miantain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security policies.
• Monitor and report on Network Usage
• Writing scripts to schedule regular maintenance tasks, automate backups, or generate reports
• Ensuring compliance with YMC IT governance for Application Security
• Managing user access, roles, permissions, enforcing password policies problems, configuring auditing
• Security audits covering Admin accounts.
• Investigating and resolving network-related issues, such as performance, packet loss, connectivity errors, and other system failures
• Monitoring Network performance metrics (CPU and memory usage), analyzing network lag statistics.
• Network Devices 0Parameter configurations to improve response times and resource utilization.
• Applying patches, service packs, and updates to ensure the network devices system remains up-to-date with the latest bug fixes
• Planning and executing network Devices version upgrades

Other Tasks:

• Dealing with Customers for issues
• Embrace change, adapt quickly to shifting Network needs or conditions.
• Maintaining documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures
• Generating reports on network performance, availability, and security metrics for management and compliance purposes
• Pay attention to details to ensure project requirements and deliverables are met accurately
