Objective:
The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
This role will involve collaboration with senior leadership to guide the company's financial decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the development of the company's annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Prepare and present detailed financial analysis to the executive team, highlighting key insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Work closely with department heads to understand financial needs, goals, and challenges, providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.
- Develop and implement financial models for scenario planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Evaluate financial performance against targets and benchmarks, identifying areas for improvement or cost optimization.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
- Manage the consolidation process for financial statements, ensuring that reports reflect the true financial condition of the organization.
- Provide financial commentary and analysis to management on significant variances, operational trends, and potential risks.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations while optimizing capital use.
- Provide recommendations for cash flow improvements, working capital management, and investment strategies.
- Oversee the cash forecasting process and support decisions related to funding and financing needs.
Cost Control & Budget Management:
- Collaborate with business units to review cost performance and implement cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
- Track operating expenses and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
- Work with department managers to ensure efficient allocation of resources and spending according to business priorities.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Partner with senior leadership in the development and execution of business strategies, providing financial input and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate and advise on the financial implications of new business initiatives, product launches, investments, and mergers or acquisitions.
- Lead financial due diligence and integrate financial considerations into key strategic decisions.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential financial risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Oversee the company's external audits and collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and accurate reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations, industry standards, and tax laws that may affect the organization.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Implement processes for team productivity, workflow management, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments, ensuring alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a managerial or senior finance role, preferably in a large or growing organization.
- Proven track record of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, financial modeling, and cost management.
- Strong background in cash flow management, treasury operations, and risk management.
- Experience in leading and developing a team of finance professionals
