Senior Java Developer (Spring & Hibernate)

Summary:

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for contributing to the development of software applications using Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java programming concepts and a proven track record of delivering high-quality Java code.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the Java programming language.
• Experience with Java technologies such as Spring (Spring Boot) and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with Java.
• Strong experience in Java development, including experience with Java technologies such as Spring and Hibernate.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of software applications using Java.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code that adheres to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve bugs and other technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Java and related technologies.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Document code, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Technical Skills:

• Java: Proficient in Java SE and Java EE.
• Frameworks: Experience with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and Hibernate.
• Databases: Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and ORM tools.
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Development Tools: Familiarity with IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or similar.
• Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) for unit and integration testing.
• APIs: Experience in building and consuming RESTful services.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Writing and maintaining Java code for various projects.
• Collaborating with team members in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
• Debugging and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
