Vigilance - Sr. Executive

Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

Governance:

• Develop implement governance policies, frameworks, and processes in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support the HOD in submission and monitoring fraud and coordinating with documentation for Civil enforcement agencies.

Policy Development and Oversight:

• Formulate, review, and update policies, charters, and codes of conduct.
• Plan training to the employees as per policies and best practices.
• Monitor adherence to corporate principles and ethical practices across the institution.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Work closely with the compliance team to ensure the organization meets regulatory standards.
• Identify governance risks and recommend measures to mitigate them.
• Maintain records of conflicts of interest and ensure they are managed appropriately.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a liaison between the Business, management, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with various organization, auditors, and other governance bodies to ensure effective communication and compliance.

Performance Monitoring:

• Oversee the performance of audit team.
• Provide reports and recommendations to improve effectiveness.
• Assist in maintaining accountability and transparency in decision-making processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of information to the HOD for effective decision making.

Ethics and Culture:

• Promote an ethical culture within the organization and foster alignment with its mission and values.
• Implement initiatives to uphold accountability, diversity, and inclusion in vigilance dept practices.

Reporting:

• Maintain a record of all vigilance activities and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
• Present findings and recommendations to the Risk & Compliance Committee.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in governance, corporate administration, preferably in the financial or microfinance sector.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in governance software tools and MS Office Suite.
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Competencies:

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Knowledge of microfinance operations and socio-economic impact strategies is a plus.
• Certification in Fraud Detection, Risk Management, or Compliance (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in risk, vigilance, or compliance roles within the financial services or microfinance industry.
