Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with 4-5 years of experience, with a strong proficiency in Kotlin, to join our team. While experience with Jetpack Compose is considered a plus, its not a mandatory requirement. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative Android applications. Collaboration with our cross-functional teams will be crucial in delivering high-quality, user-centric mobile solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
- Identify and resolve performance and security issues.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of proven software development experience in Android development.
- Proficient in Kotlin and Java, with a solid understanding of the Android ecosystem and platform.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, including architecture, design, and performance optimization.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end service.
- Experience with Android Architecture Components like ViewModel, LiveData, Room, and WorkManager.
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools, particularly Git, and familiarity with branching strategies.
- Experience with performance and memory tuning tools like Android Profiler to optimize app performance.
- Strong understanding of design principles and patterns like MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture, as well as SOLID principles.
- Experience writing Unit Tests and UI Tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
- Experience with integration tests and automated testing strategies to ensure smooth interaction between app layers and backend services.
- Strong grasp of security best practices in Android development, such as secure data storage, encryption, and safe networking.
- Familiarity with Gradle for build and dependency management.
- Experience with accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive app experiences.
- Knowledge of reactive programming concepts and frameworks like RxJava or Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
- Ability to design and implement reusable components for scalable, modular applications.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
- Experience with push notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for handling notifications and in-app messaging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of Google Play Store guidelines and experience with app submission, release, and managing app versions.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose for building modern, declarative UI (if applicable to current project needs).
- Experience with offline storage solutions and syncing data for seamless user experiences.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and libraries.
