Senior Engineer Full stack - Python

Role & responsibilities

Development & Architecture:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for accounting and finance workflows within the retail industry.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and batch job processing pipelines.
• Ensure software architecture follows best practices and design patterns for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and UX designers to translate business requirements into intuitive, high-performing applications.

DevOps & Support:

• Participate in a DevOps model, taking ownership of development, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Automate and improve development and operational workflows, ensuring smooth CI/CD pipelines.

Agile & Collaboration:

• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Actively engage in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to uplift the team's technical capabilities.
• Encourage best practices in coding standards, testing, and software quality.
  

Preferred Candidate:

Technical Skills:

• 7+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in full-stack development.
• Strong Python expertise in backend development (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Frontend expertise in React, Vue, or Angular (preferred) and modern UI libraries (Material UI, Tailwind, Bootstrap).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and GraphQL (nice to have).
• Batch job development and automation experience using Python scripts or Airflow.
• Strong database skills, including SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns such as MVC, microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Strong scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
