Job Description
- Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria to prepare/review conceptual Studies, Systems study, Design criteria, Equipment Sizing calculations, layout engineering.
- Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups
- Provides technical assistance and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues
- Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution
- Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in all aspects of transmissions systems Engineering (STATCOM, FSC, TCSC and SVC)
- Experience in Energy integration Studies, Transmission Planning Studies, Grid
- Connection Studies, AC Switching Studies, Network Stability study, Insulation coordination Study, Power System simulations and Protection studies.
- Experience in use of PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP-RV etc.
- Sag-tension calculation, preparation of Stringing charts, sag-template for the voltage class up to 765 kV.
- Preparation and checking of Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan Elevation, Earthing design, Erection key Diagram checking Drawings for Towers.
- Previous experience as PMC is desirable.
- Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
- Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
- Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated skill in leadership.

I am retired but when I was working, I was very happy because there was very good and friendly atmosphere. We worked as a team. Management was supportive and encouraging. We were rewarded for good work and dedication. Now I am retired therefore, no company support through COVID-19 lockdown because it is not their responsibility.
I cannot think of any bad thing about the company.
