Job Description
- Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria to prepare/review conceptual Studies, Systems study, Design criteria, Equipment Sizing calculations, layout engineering.
- Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
- Provides technical assistance and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues.
- Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Should have extensive knowledge of Solar Plants. Latest Trackers and Inverter Technologies.
- Hands on Experience of Electrical System Study tool DigSilent Power Factory. System Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Harmonic Analysis, Transient Stability Studies), voltage drop calculations, single line diagram, protection metering diagrams, relay setting protection coordination of the system.
- Should have worked on equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment like IDT Transformers, Busducts, MV LV
- Switchgears, Cables.
- Should be conversant with electrical layouts like raceways, grounding lightning protection, etc.
- Previous experience as PMC is desirable.
- Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
- Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
- Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated skill in leadership.
