Data Engineer - Senior Developer

The Financial Planning team at Omnicom Group seeks a Mid Data Engineer to own the data management and movement processes throughout the Corporate Workspace and Clusters.  These activities are in direct support of critical business processes, applications and analytics.  The candidate must have the balance of data processing knowledge/skills and a good business acumen.

The Mid Data Engineer – Data Applications role will build, manage and operate Pipelines within the Corporate data environments.  They are responsible for the timely movement and management of accurate data between a variety of systems, platforms and applications.  This includes, but not limited to, monitoring and remediation of the data platforms, databases, and data movement pipelines to address critical business needs all in compliance with OMC IT security requirements and guidelines.

• Designing, implementing, and deploying D365 solutions to meet business goals
• Management of the end-to-end data movement processes to ensure accuracy/completeness
• Optimization and remediation of data integration processes
• Development of new ETL/ELT processes and Pipelines in conjunction with business initiatives
• Manage user and system access, data security and privileges
• Maintain internal process and change control documentation
• Partner with Internal stakeholders and 3rd Parties to address business data needs
• Support Team on all aspects of platform technical administration
• Assist with the development and architecture of enterprise data platforms

Good to have Skills

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in a large, complex multi-cloud environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Robust communication skills with the ability to interact within cross-functional Team
• Very Strong in SQL and Stored procedures
• Very good experience with D365
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and Technologies and data movement

Good to have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure and Synapse data platform, Azure Storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Python
• Hands on experience managing and/or developing data warehouses/lakes/repositories
• Hands-on experience with developing pipelines in Azure Data Factory/Azure Synapse
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Others’ Cloud applications related to data and analytics
• Experience in integrating data into applications
• Experience in process and data flow documentation
• Hands-on experience with managing code repositories in GitHub
• Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Good to have Power BI/Cognos experience.
