Senior Designer - PHE BIM

Duties and Responsibilities

Works under limited supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving.

Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.

Directs project support and production for assigned projects, creating drawings as required using standards and content to meet job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).

Develops and maintains BIM execution plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of BIM processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Implements and oversees quality control procedures for BIM models and associated documentation.

Conducts clash detection analyses and coordinates resolution of conflicts within the BIM environment.

Manages and optimizes BIM content libraries, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information for all project stakeholders.

Stays current with emerging BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements to existing workflows and processes.

Participates in client meetings and presentations to communicate BIM strategies and project progress effectively.

Mentors junior team members in BIM best practices and advanced modeling techniques.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, and Plant 3D

Extensive experience in creating and managing 3D models for complex projects

Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles

Excellent knowledge of BIM execution plans and industry best practices

Proven ability to work autonomously and make high-level decisions

Demonstrated experience in clash detection and conflict resolution within BIM environments

Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field

Professional certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional or similar

Experience in mentoring and training junior team members

Knowledge of additional design software platforms

Familiarity with project management methodologies

Experience working on large-scale industrial or commercial projects

Preferred Qualifications

Designer should have knowledge of Fire Fighting system like Hydrant system,Sprinkler system, Fire Zoning, Fire Extinguishers and Clean agent etc.

Should have sound knowledge in Revit, Autocad and Navisworks. Other softwares like Revizto and Microstation will be added advantage.
