What You'll Do :

Our team is a blend of data science and analytical engineering, and in this role, you'll collaborate closely with the analytics engineer.

As a data scientist, you will work on in-database analytics functions, ensuring high accuracy, efficient workload management, and supporting proof-of-concept (POC) use cases.

Meanwhile, you will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to create solutions and develop scalable models that integrate into Teradata's analytics platform.

This position will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven applications, such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), recommendation systems, and multimodal solutions across diverse enterprise use cases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve complex business problems.

- Lead end-to-end data science projects from ideation and data exploration to model development, deployment, and performance monitoring.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and software developers to design scalable solutions.

- Analyze large and diverse datasets to derive actionable insights, driving decision-making and business strategy.

- Research and prototype new algorithms, tools, and techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of predictive models.

- Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable terms.

- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful data science projects.

- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and statistical modeling.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.

- Strong background in data manipulation using SQL and experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).

- Solid understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying models and data solutions.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for deriving value from data.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
