KNFE team within Amazon books is engaged on thinking and building features for Kindle which will make reading a delightful and differentiated experience. Our team owns key customer facing features like X-Ray, Notes/Highlights, Popular highlights, Search inside a book, PhotoQuotes and many more. We own these features end-to-end. We are responsible for the backend micro-service architecture, the ML that powers these features as well as the seamless CX on iOS, Android and E-reader. - 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience in Unix
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
- B. S. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
- Knowledge of Java based technologies
- Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, workflow modeling, web application development
- Ability to write intermediate level database queries
