Assistant Manager / Senior Executive - Accounts Finance

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Accounts and to lead key financial operations, including transfer pricing, balance sheet finalization, tax compliance, GST, and audits. The role requires expertise in SAP and MIS reporting, as well as strong managerial and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Japanese colleagues and ensure seamless financial operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and accounts.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• SAP B1 Expertise:
  
• Manage and optimize the use of SAP B1 for daily accounting functions.
• Perform data entry, reconciliations, and reporting in SAP B1.
• Address system issues and assist in SAP B1 enhancements.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• General Ledger Maintenance:
  
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Internal Controls & Audits:
  
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Tax Compliance & Reporting:
  
• Ensure accurate preparation and submission of tax filings in accordance with regulations.
• Assist in VAT/GST, income tax, and other tax-related matters.
• Team Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with the finance team, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth financial operations.

Key Requirements:

• Education:
• Inter CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Experience:
• 8 to 11 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven experience in using SAP B1 for accounting and financial operations.
• Experience in a Japanese sales and trading environment is an advantage.
