Sr. Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification and 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing detailed financial analysis to support management decisions. You will lead accounting functions, supervise junior staff, and contribute to the financial health and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess the organizations financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• General Accounting:
  
• Manage the company’s general ledger, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
• Handle complex financial transactions, including reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Compliance & Audits:
  
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and corporate policies.
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budget and forecasts, ensuring that financial goals are met.
• Provide financial projections and strategic recommendations to senior management based on performance data.
• Team Management:
  
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting tasks, process improvements, and professional development.
• Train new hires on accounting procedures and systems.
• Financial Strategy & Advisory:
  
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize business operations and ensure financial feasibility of new initiatives.
• Provide actionable financial insights to the management team for decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications:
  
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with a professional qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, audits, and tax filings.
• Skills:
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (GAAP), and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar systems).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, and financial modeling).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications:
  
• CA certification (mandatory).
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) would be a plus.
