Job Title: System Administrator - IT Infrastructure

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our team in Gurugram. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT infrastructure of the company, which includes both hardware and software systems. You will work across multiple platforms including server maintenance, Magento management, backups, and ensuring robust internal communication through collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams. Additionally, you will coordinate between the development and IT teams, both locally and internationally, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, be comfortable troubleshooting issues across multiple systems, and have the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
• Ensure all infrastructure components (hardware, basic software, networking equipment) are running efficiently and securely.
• Manage daily/weekly/monthly backup procedures and test restore processes.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent system downtime.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and scalability improvements.
• Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of server systems, including both Linux and Windows environments.
• Ensure Magento applications are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate Magento-related issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, backup logs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Administer and configure Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools for efficient communication across teams.
• Provide support for troubleshooting any issues related to Microsoft Teams usage and functionality.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams and international IT team.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of experience as a System Administrator with a focus on IT infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with managing servers, network equipment, and virtualization platforms.
• Strong experience in managing the Magento platform.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams administration and collaboration tools.
• Proficiency in server administration (Linux/Windows).
• Strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to team success.

Special Knowledge:

1. Active Directory and Group Policy: Expertise in User and Rights Management, Migration, and Optimization.
2. Windows Server (20082022): Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various Windows Server versions.
3. Virtualization: Proficiency with Hyper-V and VMware ESXi, including cluster management and optimization.
4. Backup and Restore Solutions: Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup and Drive Snapshot for system backup and recovery.
5. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Familiarity with tools like Nagios and Matrix42 for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
6. Software Distribution: Experience in SCCM, WSUS, and Intune for managing software deployment across the organization.
7. Cloud Environments: Ability to manage and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra).
8. ITIL Experience: Understanding and working experience with ITIL standards, including incident, problem, and change management.
9. Scripting: Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and batch scripts to automate IT processes and tasks.
10. Network Basics: Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration.
