Implement Security Best Practices: Work with senior engineers to apply and enforce security protocols, ensuring robust protection for our networks, systems, and applications.

Automation Scripting: Write scripts and automation tools to support security operations, including security checks, monitoring, and incident response tasks.

Infrastructure Security: Help secure infrastructure by automating security controls and enforcing best practices.

Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and prioritize security risks, ensuring that vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.

Security Patching: Manage and execute patch management processes, ensuring timely installation of security patches for software, operating systems, and network devices to
mitigate potential threats.

Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitor security systems, network traffic, and endpoint devices to detect and respond to suspicious activity and potential threats.

Incident Response: Actively engage in incident response efforts, investigating security incidents and coordinating with internal teams to mitigate damage, implement fixes, and document lessons learned.

Security in CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in integrating security tools and practices (e.g., static code analysis, vulnerability scanning) into our continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with senior engineers, IT departments, and third party vendors to ensure security policies are implemented consistently and compliance standards are met.

Security Awareness: Contribute to security awareness initiatives, educating employees on cybersecurity risks and best practices.

Security Documentation: Keep detailed records of security incidents, patching activities, risk assessments, and security best practices for internal documentation and auditing purposes.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats, recommending proactive measures to strengthen
our defense mechanisms.

The Candidate

This is a critical function in the company and we are looking for the following skill sets:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Good with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and experience with automation tools.

Excellent analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend effective security solutions.

Ability to convey complex security concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical teams.

Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment with senior engineers, IT staff, and external partners.

Good understanding of security concepts, such as encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.

Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) solutions are preferred.
