Job Description

Summary:

- The Category Lead - Skin and Womens personal care will be responsible for driving brand growth and capturing market share by developing and executing innovative brand-building strategies tailored to the female consumer as well as expand our offerings in skin and personal care.


- The role requires an experienced brand leader who understands the nuances of female consumer behavior and is able to manage high-impact media investments in a sales-driven environment as well as having the aesthetic and innovation mindset to create new products for this target audience. The ideal candidate will have proven success in developing and executing campaigns across both traditional and digital platforms, with a particular focus on engaging female audiences in beauty and personal care categories.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Strategy & Development:

- Develop and execute brand strategies that align with the company's vision, with a particular focus on female beauty and personal care. Lead brand-building initiatives to enhance brand equity and market share, with a focus on innovative product positioning.

- Work independently to ensure the brand resonates with female consumers in a competitive market.

2. Media Planning & Activation:

- Oversee media planning and activation to maximize ROI on high media investments.

- Design and execute media strategies that resonate with female audiences

3. New Product Development:

- Strategise with the CEO on opportunities based on trends in Beauty and Personal care and craft a 3 and 5 year roadmap of entry

- Lead the development and launch of new products, from concept to market entry, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.

- Innovate to bring products to market swiftly, without compromising on brand standards.

4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

- Work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to co-create brand strategies that are both ambitious and achievable.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.

- Use both intuition and data-driven insights to guide brand decisions and campaign execution.

5. Brand Building in Female-Focused Segments:

- Leverage expertise in female fragrance and personal care to build brand relevance and appeal.

- Innovate in how the brand communicates with female consumers, using a mix of traditional and New Age advertising techniques.

6. Leadership & Independent Working:

- Operate with a high degree of independence, managing brand initiatives without the need for a team.

- Lead by example, showing a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to achieving business goals.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and brand management, media planning, and campaign execution within female fragrance, beauty, or personal care industries.

- Proven experience in launching and growing brands targeting female consumers.

- Strong understanding of both traditional and New Age advertising methods.

- Ability to work independently, managing complex brand-building projects with creativity and resourcefulness.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- A hustler mindset with the ability to operate with speed and agility in a fast-paced environment.
