Job Description

The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for making sure everyone on the team understands the project s goals and scope defined by the Project Owner, head of Engineering and other Engineering Leads . This role is expected to fully understand the project workflow at hand to guide the Developers and QC during stand-ups and know how to unblock issues, who to contact for help, and how to escalate appropriately in a timely manner .

The Senior Scrum Master is expected to Lead and protect the Dev and QC teams through proper coaching and guidance through scrum methodologies, proper story pointing, planning for sprints/staying organized and managing the Product Owner, Business Analysts and Project Managers expectations to adhere to the defined workflow and schedules for Dev and QC.

Th is role will assist the product owner to maintain the product backlog , f acilitating scrum events (standups, meetings etc ) as needed . This role must have knowledge in all stages of software development for both waterfall and agile methodologies. This role requires collaboration with other leaders , developers , business analysts, and possibly external vendors . This role is expected to guide the team to follow workflow process, encouraging the organization to adopt the needed scrum methodology in their workflow ensuring all statuses /fields required by the team in Jira are up to date and accurate .

Responsibilities

Ensure everyone on the team knows how to follow and use the JIRA workflow.
Full understanding of the development and QC environments to help guide team to use the proper environment.

Facilitating scrum events (daily standups, updating the Jira board, driving story point discussion for the boards the SCA is responsible for ).

Coaching the Dev and QC teams in self-organization and ensuring they are making necessary updates in JIRA.

Assisting removing obstacles to developers progress and escalating appropriately to Dev leadership.

Encouraging the organization to adopt the scrum methodology in their workflow.

Coaching the organization on the transitions to a working scrum framework.

Keeping leadership (EA Dev Scrum Manager, Dev Leaders, Application Owners) up to date on progress of the scrum team s projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology or related fields preferred

Certification in Scrum

Minimum Experience Requirements:

5+ years of proven experience either as a Scrum Master or Full Stack Software Developer + strong experience with JIRA .

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail and ability to understand workflow.

Understanding of network, c loud-based technology and database experience is a plus.

Understanding of the eDiscovery industry is a plus.

Willingness and ability to learn and be coached quickly .

Strong communication skills.

Ability to manage and coach others on various development and scrum methodologies.

Other Requirements:

Experience in eDiscovery not required but preferred.
