Mep Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to design, develop, and implement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop MEP systems, including:

- HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)

- Electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, and controls)

- Plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, and piping)

- Fire protection systems

- Conduct site visits to investigate existing conditions, identify potential issues, and gather data for design development

- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications

- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions

- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans

- Conduct meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards

- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in a consulting or contracting firm

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year

- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, IPC)

- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other engineering software

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

- LEED AP or WELL AP certification

- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)

- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
