Senior Database Administrator

 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Server DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8 - 12 years of experience in database administration, with strong expertise in MS SQL Server. This role involves supporting both production and development databases, managing multi-terabyte databases, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) configurations. The candidate will be responsible for database performance optimization, backup and recovery processes, and handling client escalations. Excellent communication and team management skills are essential for this role.

Job Description :

    Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA.
    In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
    Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, Always on and clustering.
    Experience with various methods of Replication topology and troubleshooting skills.
    Experience with Table partitioning implementation.
    Experience with database security best practices and the ability to implement and enforce security measures.
    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    Proven experience in managing large-scale SQL Server databases in a production environment.
    Understanding of relational database management systems and their principles.
    Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in SQL Server database administration.
    Manage and monitor SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
    Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
    Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding.
    Perform query optimization, and database tuning.
    Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
    Monitor and analyse database performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
    Plan and execute database migration and upgrade projects.
    Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems in a timely manner.
    Experience in writing TSQL and PowerShell scripts.
    Ability to work independently and effectively.
    Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job Requirements :

    8-12 years of experience in SQL Server in a production environment.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or higher.

Timeline: Immediate joiner preferred or within 30 days
