Job Description for AutoCAD Designer/ Draftsmen

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing 2D and 3D technical drawings and designs that meet project specifications and standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs align with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:

• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings, blueprints, and layouts using AutoCAD software.
• Ability to convert rough sketches or project ideas into detailed plans.

Project Collaboration:

• Collaborate with project managers to gather design inputs and resolve technical issues.
• Aligning drawings with project timelines and phases. Updating plans based on site conditions or client feedback.

Attention to Detail:

• Ensuring accuracy in measurements and designs. Identifying potential design conflicts at an early stage.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of design processes, revisions, and project specifications.
• Prepare and submit technical documentation, including material specifications and cost estimations.

Software Utilization:

• Utilize advanced AutoCAD tools for rendering, simulation, and parametric modelling. Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features and technologies.

Communication Skills:

• Clear and effective communication with project stakeholders. Ability to explain technical drawings to non-technical team members.

Requirement:

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D); knowledge of other CAD tools like Revit, SolidWorks, or SketchUp is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of materials, measurements, and design principles.
• 4-5 years of experience in AutoCAD design, drafting, or related fields.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in sectors like architecture, engineering, manufacturing, or construction is advantageous.
• Familiarity with industry-specific design standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, or building codes).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
