This is a very significant role that will play a key part in our global expansion. We are looking for Crash & Safety domain experts who can partner with our customer leaders and contribute to the continued success of their vehicle development programs.

JOB DETAILS -

Location: Chennai and Germany
Experience: 5-12 Years
Qualification: BE/ME in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Production

Desired Profile (One / many areas):

• Frontal impact (Hands on exp -Regulations FMVSS 208 or ECE R94)
• Side impact safety structural
• Side FMVSS 214 (With moving barrier or pole impact)
• Rear impact FMVSS 301 with deformable barrier
• Roll over, roof strength analysis
• Seat Belt Anchorage, Seat Analyst
• Full vehicle model building
• Other impact analysis will be added advantage.

Job Description:

• Conduct full vehicle Safety CAE analysis using LS-Dyna
• Perform CAE simulations to evaluate full vehicle crashworthiness performance for high-speed side impact using LS-DYNA.
• Utilize FORD safety CAE standard work procedures for side impact simulations and assure high quality simulation results, outputs, reports and presentations.
• Generate feasible and timely vehicle design recommendations and technical solutions to meet side impact safety performance targets for the vehicle.
• Working knowledge of CAE with experience in LS-DYNA, PRIMER, METAPOST, ANSA, HYPERWORKS and other CAE tools is must
• Ensure CAE analysis and issue resolution meets program milestones with quality
• Interpret results & develop efficient countermeasures that are aligned with external teams
• Effectively communicate CAE results & design proposals to engineering & program teams
• Work independently and should be able to give design suggestion to meet target criteria.
• Support CAE model build process and model assembly

Skill & abilities:

• Knowledge of conducting explicit dynamic CAE analysis including contact modelling
• Knowledge of analysis using CAE tools such as LSDYNA, Hypermesh/ANSA, PRIMER, LS-Post, Meta-Post etc
• Capable of working with global design and testing teams
• Appropriate planning skills and ability to structure complex problems into manageable tasks to deliver the solutions within agreed timeframe
• Skillful Negotiator
