Position Title: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Industry: Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC)
Location: Bangalore and Chennai
Employment Type: Full-Time

Objective:


We are looking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team in the AIDC industry. The ideal candidate will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and promoting our AIDC products and solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of AIDC technologies such as barcode scanners, RFID systems, mobile computers, and associated software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


1.Strategic Planning and Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

2.Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide consultative solutions to clients, understanding their business requirements.

3. Sales and Marketing

  • Promote AIDC products such as barcode scanners, RFID systems, handheld devices, and software solutions.
  • Lead product demonstrations, presentations, and proposal development.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute lead-generation campaigns.

4. Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, solution product development, and customer support.
  • Provide feedback to product teams based on client interactions and market analysis.
  • Collaborate with channel partners and distributors to expand market reach.

5. Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and market insights.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:


Education:


Bachelor's degree in any stream.


Experience:


  • 3-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the AIDC industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Technical Skills:


  • Solid understanding of AIDC technologies (barcoding, RFID, IoT, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRM.

Soft Skills:


  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
