Job Title: Paper Machine Incharge (Shift)

Location: Village Rupana, Sri Muktsar Sahib- Punjab (152032)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: HOD PROCESS

Job Overview:

The Paper Machine Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation and optimization of paper manufacturing machines. This role involves ensuring that paper machines run efficiently, meet quality standards, and are maintained to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Oversight: Monitor and manage the daily operation of paper machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose process-related issues, implement corrective measures, and develop long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Process Optimization: Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to enhance machine efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product output.
• Project Management: Lead and support engineering projects related to machine upgrades, modifications, and the introduction of new technologies.
• Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and technical support to operators and maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to operational protocols.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze machine performance data, produce detailed reports, and recommend improvements to optimize machine reliability and output.
• Training and Development: Train and mentor operators and junior engineers on machine operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Supplier Interaction: Work with suppliers and contractors to source machine components and technical support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in paper manufacturing or a related industry, with specific experience in paper machine operation.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of high speed (950mpm and above) paper machine mechanics, hydraulics, Shoe press, Dilution headbox, top former, speed sizer and process controls.
• Proficiency in data analysis and use of monitoring software.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights as needed.

Desired Candidate skills:

• Experience 5 – 10 years
• In depth Knowledge of paper machine operation.

Timing – Rotational Shift – 6:00am to 2:00pm, 2:00pm to 10:00pm and 10:00pm to 6:00am.

Working Days – 6 days working, Monday to Saturday.
