Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Principal Mobile Engineer with 8-10 years of expertise in Android / Flutter to lead the development of mobile applications for SarvaGram. The successful candidate will play a critical role in architecting, designing, and implementing robust and user-friendly mobile solutions tailored to the unique needs of rural households and our field personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical leadership in the design and development of high-quality mobile applications for both Android and Flutter platforms.
- Tech Stack Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Android / Flutter to architect, build, and maintain scalable mobile applications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to deliver end-to-end mobile solutions.
- Code Quality and Reviews: Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Implement and advocate for best practices in performance optimization to ensure fast and efficient mobile applications.
- Scalability: Design and implement scalable mobile architectures that can accommodate future growth and evolving user requirements.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption to improve mobile development practices.
- Security: Implement and adhere to security best practices in mobile development, ensuring the protection of sensitive financial data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for mobile architectures, design decisions, and coding standards.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality mobile software solutions.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development, with expertise in both Android and Flutter.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex and responsive user interfaces for mobile applications.
- Expertise in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Strong Experience with Flutter and Dart programming language.
- Experience with state management libraries, RESTful API integration, and asynchronous programming.
- Code Quality Focus: Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and enforcing best practices within the team.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership in guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for Impact: A passion for using technology to make a positive impact on rural communities through innovative financial solutions.
