Key Responsibilities of the Role: Responsible for all aspects of sprinkler design, including hydrauliccalculations, shop drawing preparation and stock listing. Design and layout of fire protection systems to meet LPC / NFPA / FM criteria Coordinate piping layout with other trades. Review and production of detailed fire protection Schematics such as Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foamenhanced Fire Protection, Gas Protection, Firewater Mist Protection, Insert Gas Protection & SpecialHazard Fire Protection Mentoring of junior BIM engineering staff. Preparation of design drawings covering all aspects of mechanical elements. Liaise and co-ordinate with members of the client team. Creation of installation/construction & fabrication drawings. Attend technical / project meetings via teams/zoom calls. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for issue of tenders and construction. Close out of all project items, and review any lessons learned. Prepare hydraulic calculations and project submittal drawings To produce 3D Deliverables using Revit.
Skills with AutoCAD, Revit, and related software Knowledge of AEC disciplines, MEP, architectural and structural standards Should have the ability to work independently Should be able to work with other disciplines and work collaboratively with other designers, engineersarchitects and, clients to convert information into layout designs, drawings, and models using REVIT andAutoCAD. Essential Criteria for the Role: Previous experience in the fire protection industry (minimum five years) Good written English and to be proficient at communication in English. Previous similar English workenvironment an advantage. Competent working knowledge of applicable standards Ability to read and effectively interpret architectural/engineering plans, schematics, design drawings, etc. Must be Proficient in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD (Autosprink would be of benefit) Experience in working on UK, Irish or European projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills. The BIM Specialist/Engineer will possess 5+ years of experience in the construction industry of which 3+years will have ideally been spent in a Design role. Some experience of working on a construction site will be advantageous however not mandatory Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit MEP design software such as AutoSPRINK or similarsoftware with a minimum of five years of experience modelling these systems, (Ability to use REVITfluently is essential.) Ability to extract BOQs and fabrication drawings from Revit. Must be responsible, pay attention to detail personable, data-driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedwith solid organization and time management skills that lead to timely completion of projects Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers Experience in working on large commercial fire protection systems Management of Project Schedule. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience with Revit & Navisworks. Must be familiar with all Revit and Navisworks tools. Capable of handling multiple Revit projects without any guidance from the superior. Must be capable of performing Clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interference check, exportClash reports, reviewing clash reports, etc. Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD software Be capable of taking the lead on project design with minimal input from the management team. Ability to create families (Parametric and Non-Parametric). Quality control for completeness and adherence to the company standards of all shop drawings and modelsproduced. Responsible for doing QA/QC before the deliverables. Set up Revit MEP projects based on existing project templates. Experience with Modelling of Hangers and coordination with Architecture, Structure, and all other MEPservices and their supports.
