Team Lead - Accounts

Location: Bangalore

What youll do:

• Review and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders (POs) or vendor agreements, addressing discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Record invoices in SBO, ensuring proper alignment with projects and cost centers for respective entities, and process vendor payments in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, Customer BPs & Vendor BPs on a monthly basis to maintain financial accuracy.
• Manage Billing tracker for accurate billing to customers & Communicate with Project Managers for billing Inputs. Oversee the end-to-end AR billing process for multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage complex billing cycles, including Time & Material (T&M), Fixed Price, Maintenance, and Subscription-based billings.
• Generate and issue customer invoices, ensure all details align with customer agreements, PMO reports & SOW.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure consistent global billing practices.
• Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and sales commission workings.
• Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including transfer pricing calculations, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Pull timesheet report, compare with PMO reports & approve employee hours in Maringo to generate customer invoice
• Monitor and manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations effectively.
• Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing by co-ordinating with payroll vendor and HR for the APAC region, including reconciling payroll accounts and overseeing statutory filings.
• Post journal entries for all transactions in SBO, ensuring correct allocation to projects and cost centers.
• Collaborate with consultants to manage GST/VAT and other tax filings required for the APAC region, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting audits.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
• Extract and prepare periodic financial reports for management review and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and consultants, to ensure seamless operations.

What to Have for this position:

Must have Skills:-

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA inter is preferable.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in end-to-end accounting with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience with regional or multi-country accounting processes is highly desirable.
• Proven expertise in managing the payroll process, monthly book closing, Transfer pricing workings.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP is highly desirable.
• Proficient in advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of tools like Power BI and Power Query will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
