Role Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at Bata India.
- This role requires a proactive individual who can drive growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and identifying new business opportunities.
- As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for increasing Bata's market share, enhancing brand visibility, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion:
- Identify and explore new markets and business opportunities to expand Bata's presence in existing and untapped regions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance Bata's market share and visibility across key locations.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Work closely with the sales team to create sales strategies that align with Bata's objectives.
- Develop targeted sales campaigns and promotions to drive footfall and increase sales across Bata's retail network.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Cultivate strong relationships with potential business partners, distributors, and key stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
- Negotiate and establish commercial agreements to strengthen Bata's market position.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Understand customer needs and market trends to tailor solutions that enhance Bata's product offerings.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior.
- Provide actionable insights to senior management to drive competitive advantage.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and finance to execute business development initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the business development team, sharing best practices and fostering a results-driven culture.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on progress against goals and targets.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the retail or consumer goods sector.
- Experience in footwear or fashion industry is a plus.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced management degree is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive business growth through innovative solutions.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals.

- Working Experience in NE Area
