SAP ABAP Consultant (8-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

- Develop object-oriented ABAP programs using classes, interfaces, and exceptions.

- Create and consume web services (SOAP and REST).

- Design and implement ABAP objects for data modeling and business logic.

- Design and develop OData services to expose SAP data to various clients (web, mobile, etc.

- Create OData services using CDS views or custom ABAP code.

- Configure and secure OData services.

- Design and develop CDS views to define data models and expose data to various applications.

- Create complex CDS views with joins, aggregations, and annotations.

- Optimize CDS views for performance and scalability.

- Develop and maintain Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.

- Create custom reports to extract and analyze data.

- Develop interfaces to integrate SAP systems with external systems.

- Implement enhancements to standard SAP functionality.

- Design and develop custom forms to generate output documents.

- Create and configure workflows to automate business processes.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its new features, including ABAP CDS, AMDP, and Core Data Services.

- Ability to leverage S/4HANA's capabilities to optimize performance and simplify development.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ABAP programs and reports.

- Optimize database queries and ABAP code.

- Implement performance tuning techniques to improve system responsiveness.

- Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and other technical team members to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Work effectively in a team environment and share knowledge with colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Strong understanding of ABAP programming concepts, including data dictionary, reports, forms, interfaces, and ALV.

- Proficiency in OOABAP, including classes, interfaces, and exceptions.

- Experience with OData services, CDS views, and SAP Gateway.

- Knowledge of RICEFW objects and their implementation.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its new features.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with SAP Fiori development.

- Knowledge of SAP UI5 and SAP Web Dynpro.

- Experience with SAP HANA and its performance optimization techniques.

- Certification in SAP ABAP or related technologies
