Devops Manager

DevOps Manager will be working on continuous integration tools, version control systems, and automation-related services for the organization. This role will also be responsible for building, deploying, and supporting the build and deployment infrastructure at Santech. This role will be working closely with multiple functional groups like software development, software testing, and implementation groups in the process. This role should ensure and guarantee smooth and timely delivery of high-quality software products and updates to stakeholders.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for design, implement, action, and continuous improvement of automated CI/CD infrastructure
• Displays technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
• Responsible for designing topology to meet requirements for uptime, availability, scalability, robustness, fault tolerance & security
• Responsible for implementing automation tools for the development and testing phases
• Develop and Implement automation needs for software development and release processes
• Implement proactive measures for automated detection and resolution of recurring operational issues
• Provide executive level visibility to operational performance, incident and outage, resources assigned, and service level performance
• Lead operational support team to manage incidents, document root cause and tracking preventive measures
• Identifying and deploying cyber security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Responsible for capacity planning management
• Work closely with infrastructure team to achieve highest level of uptime for all environments
• Lead operational team/assist in validation during periodic application/system updates/patches
• Responsible for the design and development of tools, installation procedures
• Develops and maintains accurate estimates, timelines, project plans and status reports
• Organize and maintain packaging and deployment of various internal modules and third-party vendor libraries
• Manages, tracks, and communicates technical project details from initiation through project completion.
• Applies advanced technical expertise to provide input to tactical and strategic technology discussions on projects and establish methodologies.
• Assists direct reports in personal and career development by providing regular feedback, coaching, and guidance on personal developments, and encouraging direct reports to take ownership of their career path.
• Develops and streamlines internal and inter-departmental processes.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with good technical knowledge regarding build, release, and systems engineering

Technical Skills:

• Experience with DevOps tool chains such as Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Rancher
• Experience with Apache, Splunk, Tomcat, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Prometheus
• Linux, Windows, Scripting, Configuration Management, Build and Release Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience in DevOps practices, with a good understanding of DevOps and Agile principles
• Good scripting skills (Python/Perl/Ruby/Bash)
• Experience with standard continuous integration tools Jenkins
• Version control systems (Git/SVN/CVS/Perforce/ClearCase/Mercurial)
• Experience in working with build tools (Buildout/Ant/Maven)
• Work on software configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef/Salt/Ansible)
