Costing Manager (SAP)

Job Summary: The Costing Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the costing module in SAP to ensure accurate and efficient costing processes. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure cost data integrity, analysing cost information, and providing insights for decision-making. The Costing Manager will also be responsible for optimizing costing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to financial planning and control.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Costing Module Management:
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the SAP costing module.
• Ensure accurate setup and configuration of costing parameters in SAP.
• Regularly review and update standard costs in the SAP system.
2. Cost Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyse and report on cost variances, identifying areas for cost control and improvement also suggest areas for cost reduction.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports to management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with cost-related data.
3. Process Optimization:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of costing operations.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline costing workflows within SAP.
4. Data Integrity and Compliance:
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of cost data in the SAP system.
• Maintain compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Support internal and external audits related to costing.
5. Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to gather cost information and address costing issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for costing queries and troubleshooting within the organization.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest SAP enhancements and industry best practices related to costing.
• Lead initiatives to upgrade and optimize the costing module in SAP.
