Role Overview: The Warehousing Professional will be responsible for efficient management and control of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and distribution of materials and products. The role supports Sandviks operational excellence by maintaining optimal inventory levels, adhering to safety and quality standards, and enabling seamless supply chain operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with legal requirements for EOU and Non-EOU transactions, maintaining necessary records and obtaining GST authority signatures.
Manage stock receipt, storage, and distribution, ensuring accurate recording and efficient handling of materials.
Maintain inventory and issue materials promptly, managing routine warehouse activities and housekeeping.
Arrange materials for sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with Central Excise regulations and procedures. Manage job work activities, including excise permissions, accounting, and follow-ups with sub-contractors.
Handle local and export invoicing, dispatch, shipment booking, and documentation.
Support GST activities and conduct inventory management, including periodic stock taking and reporting.
Collaborate with Central Excise, Customs, Finance, Purchase, EXIM, and Production departments to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
Work with various teams to resolve operational issues and drive service improvements.
Support GST-related activities, including preparation and submission of records.
Conduct periodic stock-taking exercises and provide detailed inventory reports.
Monitor and control costs, ensuring achieving budget targets. Identify and implement cost efficiency measures and improvement projects
Develop system-related queries with IT support, update ISO manuals, and maintain audit records.
Provide training on new systems, conduct 5S audits, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001,14001,18001 standards.
Your Profile: We re looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:
Education and Experience:
BCom/MCom/MBA
5 -10 years of experience in Warehousing in engineering /manufacturing industry.
Experience with EOU, Warehousing Compliance, GST, Audits and Central Excise procedures.
Working Knowledge of ERP systems e.g.: SAP and Applications like Office 365, Antura, and Power Bi.
Technical and Behavioural Competence
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage inventory, invoicing, and documentation efficiently.
Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
