Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES OF THIS JOB
Planning & Coordination:
- Coordinates for Development of New Products.
- Works on prototype making, Sample Testing, Preparation of Bill of Material.
- Guides in establishing new product lines.
- Implementation of new product production.
- New Product development at supplier end.
- Tracking of project with MS Projects.
- Maintain timelines of each project.
Communication
- Coordination with Marketing team of India, Belgium, HK and USA.
- Regular coordination with sourcing department for component and colour Master batch development.
- Communication with planning for trials and pilot run.
Smooth functioning of Development:
- Ensures the smooth functioning of Development functions.
- Always assess the new ideas, processes and methods
- Implement the new methods for better working and quality
- Preparation of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and PTDB (Past Trouble Data base) to implement product without defect.
Cost Optimization:
- Promotes the cost optimization projects.
- Evaluate the current process, methods, material for alteration from cost saving perspective.
- Suggests the improvement in processes, skills, machines, tools to achieve the optimum quality in minimum cost
- Standardization of component to reduce cost.
- Manpower reduction by Atomization and process optimization.
Technology:
- Should have knowledge about processing of Plastics Injection Moulding & Injection moulds.
- Should have knowledge about Vacuum forming process and vacuum forming moulds.
Should have knowledge about small SPMs.
