Job description
Qualification : Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA/CA/ICWA preferred.
Role & responsibilities :
1. MIS Reporting:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes using financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
2. Financial Analytics:
- Perform financial analysis to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the real estate sector, such as ROI, property yields, cash flow, and profit margins.
- Analyze revenue trends, cost structures, and profitability of various real estate projects.
- Generate insights from financial data and present it to senior management for strategic planning and decision-making.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor budgetary compliance across departments and projects.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, explaining deviations and providing recommendations.
4. Real Estate-Specific Financial Management:
- Track and report on the financial performance of real estate assets, including leasing, sales, and development projects.
- Prepare detailed financial models for real estate projects, including feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
- Ensure accurate accounting for property expenses, revenues, and capital expenditures.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the finance, operations, and project management teams to gather relevant financial data.
- Communicate findings, reports, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including property managers and developers.
- Collaborate with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions to provide required information.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Support in managing financial risks related to real estate investments and development projects.
- Assist with internal audits and statutory audits, ensuring timely resolution of queries.
7. Data Management & Software Proficiency:
- Maintain and ensure data integrity in financial systems and ERP solutions.
- Proficiency in data management tools, such as MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other relevant analytics software.
- Knowledge of accounting systems like Tally, SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific real estate software.
Desired Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with ERP systems and real estate software (e.g., Yardi, MRI).
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and real estate financial metrics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Knowledge of real estate market dynamics, regulations, and tax implications is a plus.
