Analytics Test Engineer - ETL/Datawarehouse Testing (10-15 yrs)

In this role, the Sr. Manager - Analytics Test Engineer will be:

1.Lead and manage the testing activities for EDW BI projects, ensuring data quality and performance.

2.Define testing strategy, test cases, and execute manual and automated testing for ETL/ELT processes, Data Vault models, and BI reporting solutions.

3.Expertise in testing frameworks, automation tools and scripting languages.

4.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts to identify testing requirements and deliverables.

5.Ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

6.Review and test Data Vault models (Hub, Link, Satellite) for correct implementation and performance.

7.Perform data lineage validation and ensure consistency between source systems, staging, and target data models.

8.Verify that business rules are correctly implemented in the Data Vault model and transformations.

9.Validate data ingestion processes, identify and resolve data anomalies and pipeline failures.

10.Work with data engineering teams to test DBT models for transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets.

Desired candidate should have :

- 10+ years of experience in Test / QA lead role with strong understanding testing framework and automation tools

- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication; Ability to relate ideas and concepts to others; write reports, business correspondence, test plans and procedure documents.

- High-level understanding of Snowflake DW Architecture and Design.

- Experience using modern approaches to automating test process.

- Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

- Ability to assign, prioritize, and coordinate work of team members globally.

- Previous leadership roles as part of complex global enterprise data warehouse implementations operating in highly matrixed environment.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments within a structured implementation methodology.

- Personally invested in continuous improvement and innovation.

- Motivated, self-directed individual that works well with minimal supervision.

- Must have experience working across multiple teams / technologies.

- ISTQB, Agile testing, CMAT certification is good to have

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
