The key responsibilities are ;
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of managing Cloud Services including software deployment and upgrades, system setup, system administration, monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management, service desk, security management and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services.
- Ensures timely liaison with vendors regarding problems, fixes, and required enhancements
- Creates and maintains strategies related to Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Services throughout the enterprise ensuring all performance and cost curves are closely managed
- Drives the adoption, and articulate the risks/opportunities from leveraging Cloud Infrastructure
- Oversees and directs the timely evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new software products, tools, and related appliances as it pertains to the Cloud environment.
- Lead a team of Engineers to support, design, develop, automate, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve Azure cloud platform enablement Accountable to review and provide the team with defined Cloud platform best practices enablement strategy, standards, procedures, tools, and processes.
- Provide management updates, status reporting, and dashboards from a platform health and security perspective to demonstrate platform progress and process maturity!
- Work with Cloud hosting vendors pushing boundaries on organization cloud platform configuration.
- Accountable to keep the public cloud enablement product and services up and running
Required :
- 15+ years experience working as an Operations Manager with demonstrated success in operating mission critical enterprise services.
- Create and deliver operational level agreements (OLA) with departments internal to the organization detailing the provision of every elements of a service Ten plus years related experience in service management mainly on Azure platform.
- Experience of managing, defining and delivering clearly defined services that enable business to understand service offerings, including what each service does and does not include, eligibility, service limitations, cost, how to request services, and how to get help.
- Five years or more of IT Service Management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, Citrix, networking, systems management, and/or project management are recommended,
- Professional with experience leading large complex enterprise-wide infrastructure projects/programs with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties.
- Experience supporting DevOps automation teams using tools such as Jenkins, 3rd party Cloud Provider Experience: AWS, Azure, Standard Infrastructure Experience: Monitoring, DNS, DHCP, Backups, and Disaster Recovery .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to negotiate and resolve conflicting priorities and to influence senior executives
- Able to assimilate information and to disseminate effectively to customers and colleagues
- Demonstrable experience of delivering services that meet the business need and are delivered in accordance with agreed business requirements, and managing the service lifecycle
- Understanding of the unique requirements for enterprise use of public cloud Understanding of compute, storage, and data center technologies and emerging trends in cloud computing and storage.
- Self-directed, proactive, work on own initiative with a best practice approach.
