Junior Architect - Real Estate /Construction / Developers

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Design and Development

1. Conceptual Design Assistance
• Collaborate with senior architects to develop design concepts for real estate projects, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Research design trends, materials, and sustainable practices to contribute innovative ideas to projects.
2. Drafting and Drawing
• Prepare 2D and 3D architectural drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design tools.
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and other technical drawings required for project approvals.
3. Design Presentation
• Assist in creating visual presentations, including renderings, mood boards, and models, to communicate design ideas to stakeholders.
• Prepare and refine layouts for client meetings, incorporating feedback and revisions as needed.

Project Coordination

1. Collaboration with Teams
• Work closely with the design team, project managers, and other consultants such as structural engineers and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) professionals.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure designs are accurately executed on-site.
2. Site Visits and Inspections
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Document site conditions and provide reports to senior architects or project managers.

Documentation and Compliance

1. Technical Documentation
• Assist in preparing detailed documentation for project submissions, including working drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
• Ensure that all architectural documents meet local building codes, regulations,and company standards.
2. Permit and Approval Coordination
• Support the submission of plans and designs for approval by local authorities.
• Address feedback from regulatory bodies to achieve timely project clearances.

Sustainability and Innovation

• Assist in integrating environmentally friendly practices into the design process.

1. Innovative Solutions
• Stay updated with the latest architectural technologies and software.
• Propose creative solutions to design challenges or client requirements.

1. Support to Senior Architects
• Provide drafting, research, and administrative support to senior architects as required.
• Assist in resolving technical or design-related queries during project execution.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and building materials.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality design standards.
