Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration for weighing and batching solutions.
    • Identify and analyze market trends and customer needs within the industries we serve (e.g., manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, construction).
    • Conduct competitor analysis to stay competitive in the marketplace.
  2. Lead Generation and Business Development:
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet short- and long-term sales targets.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads through promotional activities and campaigns.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their specific needs and provide customized solutions.
    • Provide expert advice and support to customers on product selection, system integration, and service offerings.
    • Coordinate post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  4. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
    • Deliver effective sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and ROI of our solutions.
    • Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
    • Lead negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  5. Project Coordination and Management:
    • Collaborate with project management and technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of sold projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
    • Work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure the technical specifications are met and customer requirements are fulfilled.
    • Track the progress of projects, providing regular updates to clients and internal teams.
  6. Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM software.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to the senior management team.
    • Track and analyze sales metrics to assess performance and make necessary adjustments to strategy.
  7. Market and Product Knowledge:
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in weighing and batching technologies, product offerings, and industry standards.
    • Attend industry trade shows, webinars, and seminars to expand knowledge and network with potential customers.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in selling weighing, batching, or industrial automation solutions.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and successfully managing large-scale projects.
    • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial or technical product sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of weighing and batching systems, including hardware and software components.
    • Familiarity with industrial automation, control systems, and related technologies.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.
    • Analytical mindset and the ability to interpret customer requirements and tailor solutions.
    • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
