Sales Engineer - Pune

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and client meetings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and relationship management.
• Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
• Provide technical support to customers on product features, applications, and troubleshooting issues.
• Present products or services in instrumentation industry that would be beneficial to our client business
• Plan detailed presentations that show clients our product info and benefits
• Meet with clients at appointments for sales presentations
• Acquire new customers by winning them over from competitors and discovering new opportunities
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
• Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
• Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 0-2 years of experience in industrial automation sales or related field (diploma holders preferred)
• Strong understanding of industrial automation products such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators etc.
• Excellent negotiation skills for closing deals and building rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
• Willingness and ability to travel on field
• Creativity to approach sales and build customer relationships in groundbreaking new ways
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Computer proficiency and the ability to accurately enter data and generate reports
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills
