Job Title: Director, Quality Assurance

Reports to: Global Head, Quality Engineering.

Director QA Engineering is responsible for leading the overall quality assurance strategy, building and maintaining a high-performing team, and ensuring that the organizations software meets the highest quality standards. The role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to effectively drive quality at all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Experience: You should have more than 15 years of experience in QA testing and more than years in managing the QA team.
Technical skills
Quality Assurance Methodologies: Deep understanding of various QA methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, etc., preferably in an enterprise product development environment
Testing Techniques: Proficiency in functional, non-functional, performance, security and other testing types.
Testing Tools: Knowledge of various testing tools.
Test Automation : Extensive experience and knowledge in driving test automation and must have worked in a large volume of tests and test orchestration.
SDLC: Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and its phases.
Defect Tracking: Familiarity with defect tracking process and tools.
Leadership and management skills.
Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate QA teams.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues.
Decision-Making: Making informed decisions based on available data.
Negotiation: Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and teams.
Conflict Resolution: Skills to handle disagreements and foster a collaborative environment.
Resource Management: Skills to manage budgets, timelines and resource allocation effectively.

Compliance and Standards: Implement quality assurance standards and processes. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Conduct audits and assessments to maintain compliance.
