Job Description

Participate in product walk through and provide recommendations.
Identify the process involved hazards by conducting process risk assessments.
Support to CFT (Cross Functional Team) in view of process safety related issues.
Review of P&ID in view of safety aspects.
Updating of hazardous area classification lay outs.
Selection of equipments based on material of construction and safety criticality.
Preparation of compatibility work sheets for in house chemicals.
Identifying and collating process upsets and working on remedial actions.
Prepare action plans for process safety projects and implementing the same.
Responsible to supervise all hazardous operations and activities in safer way.
Organizing and imparting Process hazard and other job-related trainings to all relevant personnel.
Participation in periodic reviews of HSE gap analysis for compliance.
Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all activities and operations and implement the preventive measures obtained.
Establish a full program of documented health & safety inspections, audits, and checks.
Responsibility to prepare SOPs, Guideline, and OCP’s related to safety and health.
Ensure that all process safety accidents are investigated and documented.
To develop and track the CAPA status for all incidents and near miss.
The Chemical Process Safety candidate must be capable of identifying process hazards, evaluating the risk of those hazards, and assist in the development of effective solutions to mitigate risk.
The Chemical Process Safety Candidate must be familiar with the fourteen elements of Process Safety Management (PSM) and the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) rule.
The Chemical Process Safety candidate responsibilities may include the following:
Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) on existing and new processes
Provide oversight for the site Management of Change (MOC) Process
Manage the site PHA schedule and recommendation implementation plan
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and near misses
Provide oversight and conduct audits for Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
Provide mentoring and training for site personnel on process safety
Participate on teams responsible to implement new products and processes
