- Analyze the availability of security patches on all Linux/UNIX distributions we are using

- impact analyzes (on the applications according to software editors)

- Sharing potential impacts with application owners and business representatives

- proposal of patching waves according maintenance windows

- communication to server owners

- follow-up patching deployment

- intermediate communication

- troubleshooting if incidents or dispatch to experts

- incident management + problem management

- final report

- midterm improvement recommendations
