The Consultant role is responsible for the delivery of discipline projects across WSP - Middle East (ME). The role holder may also be responsible for the Project Management (PM) role for selected multi or single disciplinary projects. The role holder must take a 'hands on' approach to all aspects of the role.
Responsibilities:
Technical
- Focus on the delivery of high quality technical design drawings and specifications to the required regulations
- Develop the technical capabilities of the team
- Contribute to technical solutions on projects
- Initiate and participate in design peer reviews
- Ensure internal quality procedures are followed
- Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline and appreciate the basic technical principles and drivers of other disciplines
- Assist and support mentorship for junior engineers within the team
- Attending project meetings with the various other teams in Noida
Project Leadership
- To act as PM on selected projects by managing the successful delivery of high quality multi and single disciplinary projects
- Manage and supervise team to successfully deliver high quality discipline projects in line with the Project Life Cycle
- Design, supervise, review and deliver high quality technical fire protection design drawings, specifications, and reports to the required regulations.
- Assist in project planning, stakeholder and risk management.
- In conjunction with Associate Director identify, assess and manage major project risk and secure the best commercial return from the project.
- To ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Contribute to the delivery of project budgets, forecasts, cash and working capital targets for project.
- Ensure project programs are met and advise on any foreseen delays
- Participate and support internal multi-discipline knowledge sharing initiatives.

- The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who will take on a key role in project work, focused on timely delivery and technical excellence.
- The ability to create and modify fire protection drawings against NFPA and any local standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.
- Ability to laisse with other department managers
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Experience of MS Office Suite of Programs
- Comprehensive experience of technical design and associated discipline software
