Chief Financial Officer

Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and expansion in the medical education sector.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team for decision-making.
• Prepare and monitor financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.

2. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Present financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, to the management and board.
• Monitor key financial indicators and suggest improvements to enhance profitability.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Indian and international financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
• Develop risk management strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets.
• Implement strong internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies and fraud.

4. Cash Flow & Fund Management

• Manage cash flow effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
• Handle capital allocation, debt management, and investment decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.

5. Business Expansion & Cost Optimization

• Evaluate financial feasibility for new partnerships, university collaborations, and business expansions.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Assess return on investment (ROI) for marketing campaigns and student recruitment programs.

6. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
• Improve financial processes and implement best practices in financial management.
• Collaborate with operations, admissions, and marketing teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: CA, CPA, CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent degree.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in financial leadership roles, preferably in education, EdTech, or the study abroad industry.
