Officer/Executive Process Engineering- Nasal

This candidate will primarily be responsible for providing technical services related to Nasal Manufacturing and Packing covering Machinery Installations: Compounding Vessels, Multi Dose and Unit Dose Nasal Filling Machines Biozeen, Marchesini and Dara and Accupak Blister and Cartonating machines. Role holder is expected to be expert in trouble shooting.

1. Routine Maintenance:
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical machinery and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively in accordance with operating manuals, diagrams and specifications
• Troubleshooting and Repairs:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues in machinery.
• Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize production interruptions.
2. Calibration and Validation:
• Calibrate and validate equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable quality standards.
3. Spare Parts Management:
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment components.
• Highlight the need for sourcing and procuring spare parts as needed, considering lead times and criticality.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory standards.
5. Collaboration with Production Teams:

• To assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, repair and modification of production equipment in Nasal area machinery involved (Biozeen, Dara Pharma equipment, Marchesini, Accupak blister/cartonator)
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities during planned downtime.
• Provide technical support to operators and production staff when necessary.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall maintenance effectiveness.
• Liasoning with technical specialists/ machine service engineers for equipment/ process improvements
2. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to machinery maintenance.
3. Training and Development:

• Train and raise team member skill levels in mechanical, electrical and electronics for start up, setting, production & maintenance for the nasal machineries. Expected to be the subject matter expert for these machineries.

1. Emergency Response:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures or breakdowns.
• Participate in troubleshooting and repair during emergency situations.

Skills Required

• B.E./ B.tech in Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics
• 5 years + experience in handling installations/ service of pharmaceutical equipment
• Experience in designing and executing maintenance plans
• Excellent fault finding skills
• Ability to handle hi-tech machines with robotic and PLC controls
• Knowledge and execution of TPM concepts
