Job Description: Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager
Location: Chennai, India
Role Overview:
The Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager will oversee the delivery of IT infrastructure services, ensuring they meet the organization's quality, cost, and performance standards. This role includes managing infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining client satisfaction by adhering to SLAs and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery Management:
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure services, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure all services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Serve as the point of escalation for critical service delivery issues.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business requirements and aligning services accordingly.
- Conduct regular service reviews and provide detailed reporting on performance metrics and improvement plans.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet business demands.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Project Management:
- Manage the implementation of infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for infrastructure management.
- Ensure systems' reliability, availability, and scalability to meet current and future business needs.
- Monitor and manage budgets, optimizing costs while maintaining service quality.
Risk and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to infrastructure delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure.
- Drive automation and process optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL certification (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure environments and projects.
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure models.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
- Expertise in network architecture, virtualization, storage systems, and disaster recovery planning.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
