Assistant Finance Controller (AFC)

Position overview:

Hiring for a dynamic person for Assistant Finance Controller with minimum 12+ years of experience and managed a team of 5 to 6 members.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1 TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING

a. Directs preparation and submission of balance sheet, profit and loss, and other consolidated statements and financial reports via RPMs consolidation tool.

b. Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures are being adhere to and that all key internal controls are executed and evidenced.

c. Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records.

d. Monitors performance of the general accounting department who will execute work from the following areas:

a. Bank accounting, control and reporting

b. Fixed assets including leases

c. General accounting (including execution of internal controls)

d. Intercompany accounting

e. Financial reporting

2 TRANSACTIONAL ACCOUNTING

a. Overall responsibility of the procure to pay, order to cash and general accounting processes

b. Monitoring performance of the teams in these areas

c. Helping to transition more work from the business to the Global Shared Services Centre in future

Eligibility:

• Degree, with a focus in accounting
• Advanced Degree (i.e. MBA etc) considered a plus
• Certified Public Accountant (i.e. Chartered Accountant etc)
• 12+ years experience, containing some of the following
• External audit
• Internal audit
• Working for publicly traded US companies
• Responsibility for timely/accurate financial reporting at the operating company level
• Familiarity with external reporting requirements in the US
• Experience in researching technical accounting guidance
