Dot Net Developer

Position overview:

RPM is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented .NET Developer to join our team and play a key role in managing and enhancing our software applications. As part of a dynamic team, you will take ownership of existing and new .NET applications, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of .NET development, database management with MSSQL, and deployment practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications using VB.NET and C#, including Console

Applications and ClickOnce Windows Apps.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications to ensure functionality and performance.
• Perform light maintenance and minor development for ASP.NET websites in VB.
• Design, query, and optimize relational databases in MSSQL, ensuring data integrity and

performance.

• Manage and deploy applications using ClickOnce and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Utilize Git or TFS for version control, collaborating through code reviews to uphold coding standards
• Document technical workflows, system designs, and deployment instructions for effective team collaboration.
• Collaborate with global teams, including Developers and Analysts, to deliver high-quality solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each task above. In addition, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.

Experience:

• 4+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
• Strong expertise in C#, VB.NET and building Console Applications and ClickOnce Windows Apps.
• Hands-on experience with MSSQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and

performance tuning.

Technical Proficiency:

• Familiarity with ASP.NET websites in VB (light maintenance required).
• Experience with Azure DevOps for managing CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Proficiency in using Visual Studio for development and debugging.
• Knowledge of Git or TFS for source control and collaboration.

Skills and Traits:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in a remote setup.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
