About Cables Business:
KEC is one of the leading manufacturers of power and telecom cables in India. It has two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Vadodara (Gujarat) and Mysore (Karnataka). The manufacturing facilities are accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
The Company has a capacity to manufacture around 40,000 KM per annum of power cables, 3600 KM per annum of instrumentation cables, 6 lakh core KM per annum of jelly filled (copper) telecom cables, 6 lakh fibre KM of optical fibre cables, 4000 MTs of Railway Contact Wire and 2000 MTs of Railway Catenary Wire.
KEC entered the cables business by acquiring RPG Cables in 2010. RPG Cables with a rich experience of 6 decades, is one of the oldest and largest, fully integrated cable manufacturers in India. It pioneered the production of XLPE cables in India. It has a diverse clientele across industries including power, oil gas, steel, engineering, electricity supply, etc.
The Vadodara facility has been awarded Platinum rated Green Facility certification from the Indian Green Building Council for its sustainability initiatives in and around the facility. It is Indias first Cable manufacturing plant to receive this honour.

JOB DUTIES
Job Summary:
Key Accountabilities
Duty Statements
- Designing/Calculation/Selection of the cables as per client/project requirement
- Reviewing technical specification accordingly assisting sales team for costing.
- Technically handle the customer from enquiry stage to order execution stage
- Answer the customer queries related to technical parameters also calculations
- Coordinate with manufacturing team for cable construction / design / quality prospect
Skill/ Competencies
Technical -
- Knowledge of MS Office - Excel etc
- Conversant with latest technology and industry - product standards and specifications
- Proficiency in various International standards (IEC:60502-1 , IEC:60502-2 , BS standards.
Functional:
- Experience in Designing of Cables ( HT+ LT).
- Coordinating with the end client for any technical related material requirement such as GA drawings, Rating factor, Specifications, QAP etc.
Behavioural:
- Ability to interact independently with sales team.
- Good communication skills, Team player
