Job Summary:
The Head - Data & Analytics will lead the organization's data and analytics strategy, driving data-driven decision-making across all functions. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data acquisition, processing, storage, analysis, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on data automation and advanced analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that supports the organization's long-term business goals.
- Establish and implement data governance, data quality, and data security policies across the organization.
- Serve as the key decision-maker in all data and analytics-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across various departments to leverage data insights for strategic planning and growth.
Data Management & Architecture:
- Oversee the design and implementation of the company's data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.
- Ensure data integration across various internal and external systems for seamless data flow.
- Manage the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Lead the development of advanced analytics models (e.g., machine learning, predictive analytics) to provide actionable business insights.
- Oversee the creation of dashboards and reports that support real-time business decision-making.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization by providing stakeholders with meaningful and digestible insights.
Automation & Optimization:
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in data collection, processing, and reporting, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Optimize business processes using data analytics and automation, ensuring cost-effective and resource-efficient operations.
- Develop and implement self-service analytics tools for internal stakeholders to make data more accessible and actionable.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data analysts.
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation, continuous learning, and best practices in data management and analytics.
- Establish and maintain a performance-driven culture, with clear goals and KPIs for the data team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related fields, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in leading data and analytics initiatives across Startup/Large Scale org.
- Expertise in data management, data architecture, machine learning, and analytics.
- Experience in automating data workflows and optimizing business processes.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy laws, and security standards.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and analytics.
